The Very Rev. Jos Tharakan was elected on February 19th to serve as our next Bishop. The Bishop Transition Committee's work continues as we plan celebrations of the ministry of Bishop Brian Thom, set up a hospitable welcome for the Bishop-elect and his family, and work with the Presiding Bishop's office on the plans for the Consecration. A little background on the Bishop Transition Committee:

The Standing Committee appointed us in the summer of 2021. We began planning, and the rubber met the road when the Standing Committee announced the Nominees in December, 2021. Our deepest thanks go to the Search Committee for their discernment and selection of a stellar slate. We planned, coordinated and moderated the online Meet and Greet sessions--20 meetings in 6 days!--and worked with Bishop Brian to put on the Election Convention.
