The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem is home to 7000 Anglicans worshiping within twenty-eight congregations. It is also responsible for more than thirty institutions including hospitals, schools, clinics, rehabilitation centers, guesthouses and retirement homes, scattered across Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Israel. The Diocese responds actively to the need for healthcare and education in areas where many cannot afford it, making no distinction between religion, ethnicity or gender, thereby offering a voice of moderation and reconciliation to their interfaith neighbors. Ministry in this region has always been exceedingly challenging. Due to the Israel-Hamas War – they are experiencing dire need.
The United Thank Offering – in partnership with the Good Friday Offering – is currently matching up to $100,000 in donations given through December 15, 2023 to help sustain OUTREACH ministries in the Diocese of Jerusalem.
