Education for Ministry

Education for Ministry

EfM Online Comes to Idaho

Are you interested in the Education for Ministry Program (EfM), but cannot commit to attend weekly meetings due to travel, disability, or other reasons? Is there no local group for you to join? If so, EfM Online might be the answer for you.

The EfM Online program is the same as that conducted in face-to-face meetings. The only requirement is access to the internet and about 1 1/2 hours of dedicated time each week to "meet" with the group on line. Readings, discussions, and other assignments can be completed at any time during the week and posted to a bulletin board provided by the University of the South at Sewanee.

Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people from all walks of life with the education "to be" Christian and to carry out their ministry. All Christians need a Christian education which supports their faith and which prepares them to express that faith in day-to-day events.

EfM is a world wide program developed by the School of Theology of the University of the South. It holds before us that the foundation for bringing Christ to the world lies in a Church empowered by an active theologically articulate laity.

Thousands of persons have completed this four-year program. You can enroll one year at a time, can transfer almost anywhere in the USA and in many foreign countries, and can obtain 18 Continuing Education Units per year by participating in the program.
